Romania and Valencia

"I know I shouldn't love you anymore, but... I can't help it Romania... there's a part of me that, no matter what, will always love you." Valencia looked down as she spoke, unable to look her one time love in the eyes and they held each other in a light hug.
Romania rested his forehead against Valencia's sadly, watching her and wishing that she were his rather than Iceland's, but knowing that could never happen again. "Valencia, you know you should just stay away from me..." His voice was soft and even as he spoke, hating how she kept her beautiful hazel-green eyes downcast and hating how upset she was, and wanting nothing more than to make her happy again, but knowing he couldn't.
Her eyes flicked up momentarily and he saw they were filled with tears before she looked away again. "I know, but... I can't..."
Valencia broke off her sentence as a single tear fell and seeing her so hurt and torn made Romania's heart break....
